My Bike Ride
The day was nearing its end
Yet there was much i still could do
But with nothing that needed to be done
I reached for the 2 wheels that winter kept from me.
The sounds of the city were not appealing
So i grabbed my little music box
The road invited me to travel its many paths
And i am not one to turn down such an invite.
The wind in my hair
My home at my back
I smiled and knew
Spring was finally here.
As i traveled the city streets
I knew this spring would be the best yet.
I had time to ponder, time to plan
For a spring and summer of sheer joy.
I thought of the beach
I thought of the forests
I thought of one smiling face
That i hope will see them too.
Then i stopped and looked to my right,
The Sun was setting and saying its farewells,
To the lady to my left
The moon had already arrived.
It was then that the Lord and Lady turned to me
Seeing my smiling face and shiny silver bike
And smiled upon me and my thoughts
They spoke to me and here is what they said.
"The Spring and Summer of your thoughts
Seem pleasant and enjoying,
We think you should remember them with conviction
So you aren't suprised when they arrive."
It was then my face smiled even more,
And i continued on my way
I had time to ponder, time to plan
For a Spring and Summer of sheer joy.
I just got back from my first bike ride of the year. It was AMAZING. I know this poem isnt the best but i felt i had to write of my ride. The energy i recieved from seeing the Sun setting to my right and the moon rising to my left was incredible. I heard the Lord and Lady speak to me with such clarity. It was amazing. This ride also gave me some great ideas for my Beltane ritual. I am crushing over a really awesome girl right now and i hope she accepts my invite to my ritual. She is wiccan like me and seemed very interested. This is the first time im designing a ritual for other than myself :-)
Also, ive been working A LOT lately so i havent been able to check out everyone on here. I still would like to chat with all of you. Feel free to send me a message or even a buddy invite :-)
